2023 Kia Sorento | Gossett Kia | Memphis, TN

The Sorento has been an incredible SUV in the Kia lineup for 20 years. Now in its fourth generation, the 2023 Kia Sorento arrives with more standard safety features, advanced tech within its cabin, and a bevy of convenient amenities - all within a stylish exterior.

The 2023 Kia Sorento is available at eight trim levels: LX, S, X-Line S AWD, EX, X-Line EX AWD, SX, SX Prestige, and X-Line SX Prestige AWD.

What's new on the 2023 Sorento?

One of the most exciting updates for the new Kia Sorento is the addition of more standard driver-assist safety systems. The base LX trim now comes with Safe Exit Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance, and Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance.

Convenient features have become standard on other 2023 Sorento trims, too. The Sorento S adds a wireless smartphone charger while the EX gets a frameless rearview mirror and an eight-way power front passenger seat. For even more convenience, the Sorento SX provides you with standard rain-sensing wipers and power-folding exterior mirrors.

Exterior

The appearance of your new Sorento comes down to your choice of things like the exterior paint, wheels, and more. To start, you can choose from up to seven exciting colors like Sapphire Blue or Aruba Green - depending on the trim. Wheel sizes range from 17-20 inches and are available in finished like alloy, machined finish alloy, Gloss Black, and Matte Gray.

When it comes to function, the 2023 Sorento is equipped with standard features like heated and power-adjustable mirrors and multi-reflector LED headlights with High Beam Assist. As you move up to higher trims, you'll find even more useful items like high-utility roof rails, a Smart Power tailgate, LED projector headlights, and LED fog lights.

Performance

The 2023 Kia Sorento gives you the choice between two exhilarating powertrains. The standard 2.5-liter engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission to deliver 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel drive models with this engine get up to 24 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.[1]

When you choose the Sorento EX and above, you'll feel the thrill of a turbocharged version of that engine under the hood that generates 281 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. This turbo engine is paired with a "wet type" eight-speed automatic transmission for incredibly smooth shifting and up to 29 mpg on the highway.[1]

The Sorento X-Line models add rugged features to the SUV so you can go even further on your adventures. This includes a 1-inch higher ground clearance, high-utility roof rails, a center locking differential, torque-vectoring all-wheel drive, and X-Line body styling.

Interior

Be prepared to be impressed by the utility of the 2023 Sorento's cabin. This SUV offers various seating choices and premium materials to craft your ideal cabin. Every model offers three rows of seating, but you can opt for the available second-row captain's chairs that slide forward for easy access to the third row. When you fold all of the rear seats down, you'll have up to 75.5 cubic feet of space to utilize.

In addition to being convenient, the interior of the new Sorento is also comfortable. Sorento S models and above come with helpful amenities like dual-zone automatic climate control, remote start, a 10-way power driver's seat, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Additional premium features found within the Sorento lineup include embossed and perforated leather seats, heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.

Technology

No matter where you're headed in your Kia Sorento, you'll be connected along the way. The standard 8-inch touch-screen display seamlessly connects to your devices via Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, Bluetooth®, and the USB data port in the front console.

If you want more upscale tech, choose the Sorento S, which gives you a larger 10.25-inch touch-screen display. With this setup, you'll also get access to SiriusXM® satellite radio, navigation, Kia Connect, voice recognition, and additional USB charging ports throughout the cabin.

For the ultimate in audio, the 2023 Sorento SX Prestige and X-Line SX Prestige AWD models come with a standard Bose® premium sound system. You'll be surrounded by 12 speakers throughout the cabin for an immersive experience.

Safety

As mentioned, the 2023 Sorento now comes with new standard driver-assist features, including Safe Exit Assist, Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance, and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance. These are in addition to existing standard systems like Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian and Vehicle Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Rear Occupant Alert, and a Rear-View Monitor with Dynamic Parking Guidance.

For even more peace of mind, you'll find intelligent systems on higher trims of the 2023 Sorento. This includes Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control, Highway Driving Assist, parking assistance, and a Surround View Monitor.
